About

The Short Version

I’m an Organic Growth and AI Automation Lead with 7+ years of experience helping brands scale through SEO, content strategy, and automation. I specialize in YMYL verticals like health and finance, where getting it wrong isn’t an option. I’ve driven results like 1,450% traffic growth, #1 rankings for competitive terms, and helped brands get cited in AI answer engines before their competitors knew that was even possible.

The Full Story

It started in 2014, after I completed my enlistment in the United States Marine Corps. The military taught me discipline, adaptability, and how to solve problems under pressure — skills that translate surprisingly well to digital marketing.

After my service, I discovered drop-shipping, affiliate marketing, and the digital nomad lifestyle. I traveled the world and met some of the most talented entrepreneurs and digital marketers I’ve ever known. During my travels, I started a few e-commerce businesses, but I kept noticing the same thing: I was more interested in building the website and driving traffic than actually running the business.

That realization set my path.

What I Do Now

I’ve spent the last seven years helping brands grow through organic search — from health e-commerce startups to digital publishers with millions of monthly visitors. My work spans the full spectrum: technical SEO, content strategy, programmatic systems, and AI-powered workflows.

YMYL is my specialty. Health and finance verticals where trust, accuracy, and E-E-A-T aren’t buzzwords — they’re requirements. I’ve built editorial teams, hired medical reviewers, and created content systems that balance speed with credibility.

I build systems, not just strategies. Programmatic SEO pipelines that generate thousands of pages. AI-assisted content workflows that cut production time by 70% without sacrificing quality. Automation that runs while I sleep. I’m not just telling clients what to do — I’m building the infrastructure that makes it happen.

I think about where search is going, not just where it is. Search is changing faster than it has in 20 years. AI-powered answer engines like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity are reshaping how people find information. I’ve already helped brands show up in these platforms — not by accident, but by understanding how LLMs retrieve and synthesize content. That’s where discovery is heading, and I’m obsessed with figuring out how to win there.

Results I’ve Driven

  • 1,450% organic traffic growth for a health e-commerce brand
  • #1 rankings for competitive YMYL terms like “best personalized vitamins”
  • Brand citations in ChatGPT and Gemini — contributing to ~1,700% revenue growth
  • 167% inventory scale through programmatic SEO, replacing a $12K/year external data service
  • Managed organic strategy for sites with 8M+ monthly clicks and 10,000+ page content libraries
  • Led site migrations across multiple properties without traffic loss

How I Think About SEO

SEO isn’t just about rankings anymore. It’s about being discoverable wherever your audience is looking — Google, yes, but also AI answer engines, voice assistants, and whatever comes next.

I approach every project with three questions:

  1. What does the business actually need? Traffic is meaningless if it doesn’t convert. I tie SEO to revenue, not vanity metrics.
  2. What’s the fastest path to results? I prioritize ruthlessly. Not everything is a P1. Some “best practices” are P4s that can wait.
  3. What systems can we build? One-off optimizations are fine. Repeatable systems that scale are better.

Beyond Work

I’m also a web designer and front-end developer — I like building things, not just advising on them. On the side, I run a cycling blog focused on fixed gear culture, and I’m constantly tinkering with personal AI projects. Right now I’m building an AI assistant that handles my task management, calendar, and memory using n8n, PostgreSQL, and a bunch of duct tape.

When I’m not at my desk, you can find me at the archery range or playing guitar at the park.

Let’s Work Together

I love working on hard problems with good people. If you’re looking for someone who can think strategically, execute technically, and actually build the systems that drive growth — let’s talk.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

LiaisonLabs is your local partner for SEO & digital marketing services in Mount Vernon, Washington. Here are some answers to the most frequently asked questions about our SEO services.

SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is the process of improving your website's visibility in search engines like Google. When potential customers in Mount Vernon or Skagit County search for your products or services, SEO helps your business appear at the top of search results. This drives more qualified traffic to your website—people who are actively looking for what you offer. For local businesses, effective SEO means more phone calls, more foot traffic, and more revenue without paying for every click like traditional advertising.

A local SEO partner understands the unique market dynamics of Skagit Valley and the Pacific Northwest. We know the seasonal patterns that affect local businesses, from tulip festival tourism to agricultural cycles. Local expertise means we understand which keywords your neighbors are searching, which directories matter for your industry, and how to position your business against local competitors. Plus, we're available for in-person meetings and truly invested in the success of our Mount Vernon business community.

SEO is a long-term investment, and most businesses begin seeing meaningful results within 3 to 6 months. Some quick wins—like optimizing your Google Business Profile or fixing technical issues—can show improvements within weeks. However, building sustainable rankings that drive consistent traffic takes time. The good news? Unlike paid advertising that stops the moment you stop paying, SEO results compound over time. The work we do today continues delivering value for months and years to come.

SEO pricing varies based on your goals, competition, and current website health. Local SEO packages for small businesses typically range from $500 to $2,500 per month, while more comprehensive campaigns for competitive industries may require a larger investment. We offer customized proposals based on a thorough audit of your website and competitive landscape. During your free consultation, we'll discuss your budget and create a strategy that delivers measurable ROI—because effective SEO should pay for itself through increased revenue.

Both aim to improve search visibility, but the focus differs significantly. Local SEO targets customers in a specific geographic area—like Mount Vernon, Burlington, Anacortes, or greater Skagit County. It emphasizes Google Business Profile optimization, local citations, reviews, and location-based keywords. Traditional SEO focuses on broader, often national rankings and prioritizes content marketing, backlink building, and technical optimization. Most Mount Vernon businesses benefit from a local-first strategy, though many of our clients combine both approaches to capture customers at every stage of their search journey.

Absolutely! SEO and paid advertising work best as complementary strategies. Google Ads deliver immediate visibility and are great for testing keywords and driving quick traffic. SEO builds sustainable, long-term visibility that doesn't require ongoing ad spend. Together, they create a powerful combination—ads capture immediate demand while SEO builds your organic presence over time. Many of our Mount Vernon clients find that strong SEO actually improves their ad performance by increasing Quality Scores and reducing cost-per-click, ultimately lowering their total marketing costs while increasing results.
