How to Separate Bookmarks in Chrome

Today, I’m going to show you how to add a separator to your bookmarks. I have two different methods of doing this. They both work well. So that’s something that you’re looking to do. This is the post for you.

Why might you want a separator?

So what is a bookmark, and why might you want a separator? I have a ton of bookmarks, and I have even more that go further out. And I want to separate things because they’re cluttered right now, and it just doesn’t look good. So I want to separate them.

But there is no inherent way to add a separator in chrome. So we can get around this, however, and that’s going to show you now. So let’s go ahead and do that real quick. The way that I found how to add the separator is from a form.

How to Separate Bookmarks in Chrome?

I just basically Googled the question, and I found a Stack Exchange answer with two different options. I click the link, and it takes me to a page. And if we go here, you can see that it’s just one page, just one simple document that you can. But check this out. If you bookmark it, click on the bookmarks and click “done.” and that’s it. Now, you have this cool separator,

But we don’t want it to say chrome bookmarks here. So what do we do? Right. Go to edit, and delete the text, and now we have a simple separator.

How to add more separators?

All right. So now you’re probably thinking, well, that’s all great, but what if I want more lines on my bookmarks?

Just grab this button that says “Drag me,” grab this little guy right here, and drop it wherever you want. And now you have a ton of separators.
