AzonPress WordPress Plugin (Full Review & Tutorial)

Manually uploading products to your WordPress blog can be extremely time-consuming, and Amazon doesn’t even let you download their images and upload them to your blog. That’s against their terms of service. So how can we use product images on our blog and link out to them, and do it quickly and easily? That’s what we’ll show you today.

In this post, I will show you my favorite plugin to do this. I tried a few of them, and AzonPress is my favorite. This is a game-changer.

Where to find AzonPress

Let’s talk about how to download AzonPress. Unfortunately, AzonPress will not be found in the WordPress repository, so you will not be able to go into plugins and find it there.

You have to purchase it from the developer. So to find the plugin, do a quick Google search. The company that developed this is W.P. Managed Ninja.

AzonPress Pricing

So they have a few different pricing options. None of them are great, but they’re okay. So for $39, you get to put this plugin on one website, and they’re going to charge you again every year, and that comes with updates, etc. If you pay $63, you get 20 domains. And by the way, you can’t just take the license code and upload it to another website. I’ve already tried that, and it doesn’t work. You’ll need another license unless you do the agency plan (most people will do either single or agency).

Then they have the lifetime plan, which might be worth it if you hate paying annual fees. I would not suggest taking the lifetime plan immediately. But anyway, it’s the same thing as the annual plan, except that you don’t have to pay every year.

What’s the refund policy

They have a 100% risk-free money-back guarantee. And if they’re anything like AWP Press, they’ll stand by that. (I did not like AWP Press so much, I took them up on that offer, got a refund, and it went through).

How to download AzonPress

So to download it, all you have to do is pick one of the plans and put in your basic information, your name, last name, and email address. By the way, this email address. You can’t change it later. So pick the email address you want to be associated with this account.

Then enter your credit card number, expiration date, and the code on the back of the card, and that’s it. After that, you get two emails, a receipt email and one containing your license code. That’s all there is to it.

How to upload the plugin to your website

I already uploaded this plugin to the website on which I want to use it, but I will show you how to do it anyway, just in case you never uploaded a plugin.

Go to your WordPress website and go to plugins, and then you’re going to click on “Add New.” Now you can select the.zip file by clicking Choose File. Click “install.” When you initially install it, it should be deactivated. After that, you have to click “activate.”

How to connect AzonPress to Amazon

So now we’ll get our plugin connected to Amazon. You’ll need the Amazon API credentials to do this. Go to your Amazon affiliate account and sign in.

You should see product advertising API under tools when you sign in. All you should do is click “Add Credential,” and then it’ll automatically generate an access key and a secret key, and you’re going to use these two keys in the next step.

So the next thing you will do is go to settings, and here it will ask you for your API key, secret key, and tracking ID. You are putting your tracking idea here, and you will put your API and secret keys here. Grab the Excel spreadsheet Amazon gave you containing your access and secret keys. Copy and paste those two things here along with your tracking ID, and don’t forget to add your country.

I chose nothing for geotargeting. However, if you have different countries to target, you can put those tracking IDs right here.

Licensing. We don’t have to mess with that very much because if you want to use this on a different website, you’d have to deactivate this license on this installation and then go to your new website and activate it there. So that way, you don’t have to buy an entirely new license.

AzonPress Settings

You will want the link to open in a new window or a tab by default. And you will want the nofollow edge attribute to be applied to assign press links by default. So, yes, you need to do this. Google has made it very clear that if you don’t have a nofollow tag or something similar that denotes that this is a paid or affiliate link and you’re going to get permission from this link, they could penalize you. I want to add “no index snuff allowed to attribute.” No, I don’t necessarily want that.

I want to hide the prices because I don’t want the user to see the price of that product immediately. When they see the picture of the product, I want them to be so interested in it that they click on the image or the link and then go straight to Amazon, and then it’ll leave that little cookie inside the browser.

I’m going to leave “Remove Prime Status” unchecked. This is because I want to hide comparison tables on mobile devices. You might want to do this because comparison tables make a mess of mobile. I mean, you can imagine you have to scroll quite a bit, so I’m going to click. Yes, I do want to hide comparison tables and show a disclaimer.

I want to show a disclaimer because you’ve got to tell people if it’s a commissioned product.

I will change this from “buy on Amazon” to “check the price.” I want people to be enticed by the product and say, “Oh, let me check how much it costs instead of just buying on Amazon.” I don’t want them to know that; this is just an Amazon link. You can check on Amazon later.

Role permissions

Administrators can access all roles assigned by default, but if you have multiple users on your websites, like an editor and author, you can say, “Yeah, I want them to be able to add products using the Gutenberg plugin.” Excuse me; they’re Gutenberg block editors.

So you may want to enable these things. If you don’t, then uncheck them. But if you have people complaining that they can’t use these on their accounts, this is probably the reason why. All right.
