Terms of service.

These cover use of this website. Engagement-specific terms (deliverables, IP, indemnities, etc.) live in the SOW we sign together — these terms are the floor, not the ceiling.

1. Agreement.

By accessing yerainabreu.com (the “Site”), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site. The Site is operated by Yerain Abreu LLC, a Washington-state limited liability company.

2. Acceptable use.

The usual list. You agree not to:

  • Scrape the Site at high volume (a few hundred requests an hour for personal research is fine; if you're training a model, please email and we'll discuss)
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source of any part of the Site you didn't write
  • Submit anything through the contact form that you wouldn't read aloud at a school assembly
  • Use the Site to violate any law or to infringe anyone's rights

3. Intellectual property.

All content on the Site — text, layout, illustrations, the codebase, the design system — is © Yerain Abreu LLC unless explicitly attributed otherwise. You may:

  • Quote short excerpts (a paragraph or two) with attribution and a link back
  • Share links to any page, freely
  • Download free resources I've published for your own use, including commercial

You may not republish whole articles, mirror the design system, or pass off my work as your own.

4. Site content.

Things I write here represent my opinions at the time of writing. I update or correct posts when I learn something new — those updates are noted at the top of the post. Older posts may not reflect what I currently think.

5. Newsletter.

If you subscribe, you agree to receive emails roughly twice a month. You can unsubscribe in one click from any email. I never sell, share, or rent the list. See the Privacy Policy for full handling details.

6. Paid engagements.

Nothing on the Site, including pricing pages, marketing copy, or downloadable resources, constitutes a binding offer to perform services. A consulting engagement begins only when both parties have signed an SOW. The SOW governs the engagement and supersedes anything written here.

7. Disclaimers.

The Site, free resources, blog content, and any tools (including the SEO checklist and ROI calculator) are provided “as is,” without warranty of any kind. SEO outcomes depend on factors I don't control (the algorithms of search and answer engines, your team's execution, competitive moves). Nothing on this Site is a guarantee of any specific result.

8. Limitation of liability.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Yerain Abreu LLC's total liability for any claim arising out of your use of the Site is limited to $100 USD. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption. (Engagement-specific limits are negotiated in the SOW and supersede this floor.)

9. Governing law.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Skagit County, Washington. We waive jury trial. We agree to attempt mediation in good faith before filing anything.

10. Changes.

I may update these Terms occasionally. Material changes will be flagged at the top of this page and announced in the next newsletter issue. Your continued use of the Site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
